When you talk about your favorite sport, you talk about the best team, the best players, and the best moments. That’s why when FIFA set out to rebrand their award ceremony, they simply called it The Best. “This event should be all about the game. Nothing else,” summed up FIFA President Gianni Infantino. And they have hit their mark. Each year FIFA awards the best players, coaches, and goalies though an innovative scoring process. The process includes coaches and captains of national teams, a panel of media representatives, and an online fan-based ballot.
